Sunglasses Replacement Lenses

Can you just replace the lenses for sunglasses?

Yes, if your frame is still in good shape, you can order replacement lenses for Smith Optics sunglasses without buying a whole new pair. Just select your frame's model, choose the lens option that fits your needs, and snap the new lens in.

How do I install my new Smith Optics sunglasses replacement lenses?

Installation steps vary slightly depending on your frame style, so the clearest way to get it right is to watch our step-by-step video guide. Watch how to install your replacement lenses for a walkthrough you can follow along with the frame in hand.

Should I replace my entire pair of sunglasses or just the lenses?

If the frame still fits well and isn't cracked or warped, a lens swap is usually enough to fix scratches or refresh your tint for a new season.

Replace the whole pair once the frame itself is damaged. A new lens won't fix a warped or broken frame, so that's the point where a full replacement makes more sense.

How do I clean and store my lenses to avoid scratches?

Rinse your lenses with water before wiping them to clear away dust and grit that can scratch the surface, then dry them with a clean microfiber cloth. Skip paper towels, shirts, or anything abrasive, since those are common culprits for fine scratches over time.

For best results, use a cloth and a solution made for optical lenses. Smith Optics’ cleaning kit is built to clean without damaging lens coatings like ChromaPop™ or PhotoChromic.

What is Smith Optics ' warranty policy?

Smith's sunglasses and goggles come with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. If lenses have a production issue, Smith Optics will repair, replace, or refund at its discretion. The warranty doesn't cover accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or scratched lenses, and it applies only to products purchased from an authorized dealer or smithoptics.mom.
